Modern Greek Lessons
The Marin Homework Coach offers instruction in Modern Greek for learners interested in developing a clear, accurate understanding of the language and its modern usage.
Greek lessons are available for adults and motivated middle and high school students and are planned individually, based on each learner’s background, interests, and goals. Instruction emphasizes clarity, structure, and real-world language use.
Greek is taught as part of a broader language practice that also includes Spanish, English for Spanish speakers, and Italian.

Lessons move at a pace appropriate to the learner, with an emphasis on steady progress and long-term retention.
Instructor Background
Although I was born in California, Modern Greek was my first language, spoken daily during early childhood at home. I spent extended time in northern Greece, where Greek was part of daily life, family, and work.
I later studied Modern Greek formally at the College of Marin, taught Greek at UCLA through the Hellenic American Student Organization, and continued my studies in Modern Greek literature at UC Berkeley.
This combination of native exposure, academic study, and lived experience informs my approach to Greek instruction.
